Designed in collaboration with Christopher Gentner for the Macallan Rare Cask in 2014 and inspired by the pleasures of fine whisky, The Rare Whiskey Presenter concentrates on the experience and presentation of whisky drinking. Each glass is individually hand-formed by master glassblowers from the finest quality borosilicate glass. The suspended brass tray with a unique handle allows it to be carried with one hand.
On what the Rare Glass can do for a scotch drinking experience, one of our clients says it best:
"I have used many types of glasses to enjoy some very premium scotch in the past few years, many stating they would enhance the flavor, but really never any difference from one to another. I decided to try the new glasses with a friend last night, and after placing one ice cube in the glass, pouring two fingers of Balvenie 14, and letting it rest for a minute for the ice to give just enough water to bring out the flavor, we took a sip, and much to my delight, the drink became more than I could of hoped for. The bouquet was brought to the nose with a harmony I have never experienced, the taste was beyond anything I have ever had. Each glass is handcrafted by master glassblowers of borosilicate glass allowing for thermal resistance for a range of hot and cold applications. The designer glasses are oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
